Position Summary
- The candidate is a Backend Software Engineer with expertise in application
development and support.
- Focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for healthcare data products.
- Ensures scalable, reliable, and secure API services to support applications.
Essential Functions
- Represents the Application Operations/Development team in active projects.
- Participates in daily application operations and development stand-up meetings.
- Supports data delivery for clients subscribed to the product.
- Follows established procedures for change management.
- Documents and maintains standard operating procedures.
- Designs, develops, and maintains RESTful API services.
- Writes clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards.
- Implements monitoring, testing, and security measures.
- Identifies and troubleshoots issues related to API services and backend systems.
- Collaborates with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Future Functions
- Works with the Product Team to implement new application enhancements.
- Ensures application changes follow life-cycle methodology and risk guidelines.
- Interacts with end users, internal teams, and development vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E.) or Technology (B.Tech.), preferably in
Computer Science.
- 2-4 years of experience as an application engineer/developer.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js (JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Proficiency in GIT fundamentals.
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, and EC2.
- Hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, and React.js.
- Implemented an end-to-end backend application project.
- Experience with databases like Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in RESTful API design and implementation.
- May require domestic or international travel up to 5%.
